Every once in a while a session comes along that really sticks out, whether it be that we just really click with a client, shoot in one of our bucket-list locations, or create some other kind of magic during the session. Kat and Kaleb’s wedding day was one of those full circle moments for us.
The day started at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, an iconic Pittsburgh landmark that we first visited almost a decade ago and dreamed about as a client venue. From the towering glass domes of the greenhouse to the lush gardens, there were beautiful backdrops around every corner.
It was here that we caught up with Kat and Kaleb, dressed to the nines and ready to walk the aisle (can we talk about their INCREDIBLE rings???). Surrounded by beautiful gardens, these two exchanged some of the most intimate, heartfelt vows I’ve ever heard. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house (including us)! Their love for each other was so palpable and their friends and family were so present throughout their ceremony.

Ceremony & Family Photos
After the ceremony, we got some photos of the newlyweds with their families and bridal party, then we took a walk around the gardens for some couples portraits. This is always our favorite part of the day—the couple gets a few quiet moments to let the moment soak in and we always get our favorite shots of the day!
Portraits & Cocktail Hour
Next we were off to the reception in style! The retro orange bus was such a fun way to mark the end of the ceremony and the start of the party. We took a few shots and moved the party to a historic hall overlooking a lake. The vibes were immaculate as the couple and their guests chatted, played lawn games, and spent some true quality time together before dinner.
Reception & Dancing
Kat and Kaleb danced the rest of the night away, starting off with their first dance as a married couple, then to dances with their parents (which prompted more tears from us lol), and then the rest of their loved ones joined in. From start to finish, this day was such a beautiful celebration of their love with so much personality engrained in every single detail. These two crafted day that was so authentic and magical, and we sure hope that comes through in these photos.
If the rest of their marriage is anything like their wedding day, Kat and Kaleb have a lifetime of joy, adventure, and love to look forward to. Wishing them many happy years together!
